Sleeping a few hours in PHL overnight

Hello,

Does PHL close its terminals overnight?
I have a flight coming up that gets me to PHL late night, and I have a connecting flight early in the next morning.
I haven't booked any hotel yet, so I'm just thinking of sleeping a few hours inside the airport and be done with it to save a few bucks.

I have done this several times. There is an area in B where they park the shuttle carts. Behind the carts are benchs with no arm rests, very private nice to sleep on. The Au Bon Pain is open 24 hrs to serve the overnight staff. The only probelm this time of year is that they play terrible Christmas music all night; looping version of "Grandma got run over by a raindeer" every 10 minutes all night.

You'll be fine. Shops and restaurants, of course, will all be closed, but they won't kick you out of the terminal.

sweet, thanks a lot for the info.
Benches without armrests are all I need.
I'll just bring earplugs to help me sleep better. hehe.

I guess that's better than the "marketplace" announcement every 5min.

If I remember right there is a "rent a room" shop on your way to the international gates. I can't remember the name but just saw it in passing. Not sure on hours or price but I'm sure there are hourly rates.

The sleeping in airports website has lots of helpful hints about overnighting in major airports. Try sleepinginairports.com or google it.

Sleeping a few hours in PHL overnight

Minute Suites is located in terminal B near walkways to terminal A. Don't recall the rates ...

If you're thinking about staying at Minute Suites overnight, though, I'd think about just walking to the Marriott and hoping I got lucky with a sympathetic desk clerk and a decent rate.

I have seen some of the restaurants and bars stay open all night if there are major weather related delays and cancellations.

The minutes suites sounds like a good deal for $120 overnight compared to the Marriott, plus you are already inside security!

A note of caution that the land side of PHL often gets homeless people sleeping in various locations. Generally there are few problems with this but you might want stay strictly on the air-side (post security) just to be safe.
