40 segments; 100k - of which 20 came from CC spend.
Thanks Barclays and my apologies to BIS purists!
CP lite and proud of it.
Low point - I gave 2 friends gift of trial preferred and Silver status in Aug
The one I gave the trial to only went on one trip
The other asked me if I was sure the Silver gift goes to 2014 recently -
I was shocked to find that gifts before Sept 30 are only valid till Feb 2013, while if I had waited ~a month and then gifted, it would have been valid till 2014 Feb. bummer.
2nd low point - missed GS on UA most likely by crediting premium spend to US for first half of the year. The international trips via PHL and CLT to use the CP certs also cost almost a day of time both ways. So I do not think I will keep up with CP by intl flying anymore.
High Points - near 100% upgrades domestic; missed only 1
Interestingly, I almost always got an email thumbs down at 7 days and then 2-3 days later I got the thumbs up email with upgrade cleared.
Managed to get 4 ecerts used twice this year!
2 sets in Jan to EU from last year and 2 more again in October
Still have 2 more sets to go for whole of next year
Waiting for my UA miles to post for this weekend's trip
Will hit 1K - Only time I have been >100k on both
I have been Gold on both 2006-8,
then 2009-10 CP on US and Plat on CO (status match from DL)

Reached Gold
Reached Gold this year for the first time!
Will end up with 55k PQM which included 10k from the MasterCard and 9k for the double miles promo on a $650 r/t flight from clt-Hnl. Best deal of the year for me netting almost 20k of PQM for $650. Plus I used miles to upgrade and had free hotel stay via Marriott Gold points.
Already planning for next year to reach gold or higher. Applied for and got another MasterCard a month ago. Have been holding off spending as best as possible the last month as well as saving up this year for some much needed home improvements for next year. Hope to somehow net 20k of PQM from my MC purchases.
Also will look to see if US offers out the club membership with 5k PQM next year as it did not make sense for me this year.

32K PQM's - re qualified for SP (no surprise there). May buy up to CP in Janurary (yes I know it's in the $2500 range but the 2x (2012 program year plus another set on 3/1) CP certs for Molly and I are worth at least that plus the 100% preferred bonus will be a major plus for my trip to Singapore and Australia next winter...)

Breakthrough year for me -- my first year actually paying attention to all of those miles I've been flying for work, though I didn't start earning on US until late in Q3.
Regardless, 30K PQMs, but I'm in the middle of a Trial now and will make CP on 2/6. First time I was EVER upgraded on a flight due to status was this year.
Also used the *A award Booking Thread to help me book a trip I never would have even considered possible before reading through it.
Huge thanks to all in the US Airways corner of FT for being so helpful and getting me hooked
Have enough travel booked in 2013 already to make Gold by March, so optimistic about next year as well.

End of 2012 Roll Call
Here's where I should stack up if the year were to stop now (I still have several potential flights to book):
- 124 segments on US (16 flown on UA); 87,000 PQM (will hit CP tomorrow with the system update)
- 7 segments and 7,200 PQM on Delta
- 8 segments on SW
- 4 segments on AirTran
- 11 segments and 14,900 PQM on AA
This was my first and probably last year traveling this much. Bought silver trial in March, was CP by end of April flying back and forth from BOS to PHX. From now on Silver will be hard to get as I will only be flying BOS-DCA and BOS-PHL, 12 round trips total per year.
27 segments on DL - 18346 MQMs
29 segments on *A (27 US, 2 UA) - 68923 DQMs
1 round trip BOS to DCA left for the year putting me at 69923 DQMs, little short of Platinum. Will certainly enjoy Gold next year and should get a good amount of upgrades to DCA and PHL flying the less desirable times.
Honestly, if things went back to a revenue based frequent flyer program, I would be happy as I am currently paying the same amount for BOS-DCA that I was paying for BOS-PHX. Should be a good year next year even with less flying.
Thanks to all those contributing as this forum has made traveling for me much easier!

Here's my breakdown:
Started from 0 this year as I was a refugee from UA. I did a trial silver challenge.
I finished the challenge with about 25k miles. Didn't have time at the very end for that last flight, so I've been a platinum since April.
I have had some problems, but US has always stepped up and made it right. CS has always been great ... even called in today about an upgrade and the agent wished me a happy belated birthday.
I'll finish the year with 102,948 miles and 58 segments, so I'll hit CP after I take a trip to SAN this weekend. About 20k of that was on UA in C/F as I had to take one trip on UA as the US doesn't go to ICN.
I've gotten some great special dividends, including be able to sponsor my son and fiancee to silver.
The downsides have been upgrading transcons. It's been pretty painful getting upgrades on transcons - especially with 2 people. I've only been upgraded on 2 transcon segments this year. I've done pretty well on short haul segments. I could have gotten one for this weekend ... if I was willing to split my PNR, but I'd rather sit with my fiancee and she didn't want to be up there without me.
It's been a good year overall

I will end the year at 63,944 PQM on US, 72 segments. I've only ever been Platinum, so I'm curious how my upgrade percentages will change next year based on being Gold.
Looking at finishing the year with 107 segments and 123,800 PQM. Contemplating a mileage run to get the club membership and the gold gift, but not really that eager to fly anymore.

I was gold most of this year (only made platinum a couple of weeks ago) and averaged over 90% upgrades, but it really depends on the routes and times...
My stats:
Made it to Platinum for the first time. Was Gold last year (barely, on segments).
As of 12/5: 84021 PQM and 89 segments.
12 of those segments were on *A partners
*A carriers flown:
US, UA, AC, SQ
Of the 77 segments flown on US I had about a 90% upgrade rate.
I have two more RT coming up for an additional 8 segments. However, those two RT were booked with the double PQM promotion, so by my calculations I stand to end up with 98117 PQM, including promo bonus. Think its worth a MR or buy-up to push it over 100K?
128K and 49 segments, mostly star-alliance international flights (UA, AC, NH, TP). Low point of year was being bumped from envoy due to equipment change from LGW-PHL because I used certs for upgrade. Tried to save the company some money by using certs as I could have purchased envoy (never again). Offered envoy on next day but had to be home (only trip in coach this year but for regionals). High point of year was receiving PQM for transatlantic reward tix on UA in business.
