Positioning flights between PHL and CLT see them regularly. In the winter some runs to SJC sometimes also use the A330.

MCO also gets them on quick runs from PHL and CLT , especially in the cooler months, as well as the transatlantic 757s.

SJU...though a 767 to the west coast would be nice occasionally

If you are wondering about US widebodies on transcons, they don't do it. All the 767 and A330 fleet stay east - between PHL and CLT and the overseas destinations along the few Caribbean/Disney destinations mentioned already. CUN sees them on occasion too (not mentioned yet).

Currently CLT-MCO and CLT-PHL sees both A332s and B767s. CLT-SJU sees B767s while PHL-SJU sees B767s and A333s. During the holiday season, CLT-SJU will see a A332 as well.

I'd also count STT as domestic, and CLT-STT is a B767 during winter.

A321's are the norm for PHL-PHX/LAX/SFO. If you want a widebody you'd need to go AA or DL. UA has a few 772s running transcon but they're sporadic.

Although not a widebody, you can find the East 752's with Envoy seats on PHL-PHX and PHL-SEA once the seasonal TA routes get cut.

They used to run a 767 or two on PHL-LAX, but that's going back to around 2003 or 2004. It was nice getting the Envoy seating on an upgrade, even if it was the older style recliners with the tiny personal TV's.

My understanding is that SFO didn't have the space at the gates US used back then (that concourse/terminal has been demolished). Not sure if the new gates they use would be able to handle one even if they wanted to.

At LAX, they apparently gave back some gates to WN. If they wanted to put a widebody there like they used to, they would have to tie up two gates due to the wingspan.

I was on a 757 from CLT-BWI the other day. Also have taken 767 from MCO-PHL and PHL-MCO before.

CLT/PHL-FLL uses an Envoy 757 in November and December 1x a day. Its the 2nd-to-last flight in and the 830am flight out from FLL.

Now hear this...

Remember though, even if you end up on a 332/333, 762 or a TATL configured 752 the service is still domestic F. No IFE apart from the safety video, standard domestic adult beverages and meals (only on flights over 3.5hrs) no amenity kits, etc...

Yes...but a suite is still a suite, even if its only for 2 1/2 hrs
