Status change over silver to gold

My status will be upgrading from Silver to Gold next week. Will existing itinteries automatically show the new status and automatically begin upgrading at my new window?

In the past when I was a medallion on Delta, when your status changed the system did not recognize it for existing reservations and I had to call delta to have my FF # removed and then re-entered into the reservation for the existing reservation to reflect my new status.

Has anyone had any experience with this on US?

I've never seen an issue...I usually have a few trips booked, and it has always reflected when I checked in after I went up a rank. Never had to call like you did with Delta.

If you're in doubt, just call the Gold Line and have them re-enter your DM number and ensure you're on the CPU list.

When i hit silver and gold, each time i was in the middle of an itinerary. My status didnt seem to update until after i flew all segments.

Can you remove your DM number and re-add it via the web or do you have to have an agent do it?

Miles for me usually post 1 full day after the flight that put me over to a new status. After that I've never had a problem with my existing reservations which I usually have booked out for a good month.
