Definitely not working yet.
But that brings the share cost very close to the cost of buying / gifting so as to make it almost a wash. 100% share bonuses were always a much more cost-effective purchase, 75% eliminates that benefit. Of course no US credit card requirement to share.
As for the 50% off cost of buying, we don't know if you must put the purchase on a US Airways card - only that you must have one. I'd really rather not use my US card for this since I'm already buying miles as it is. Would rather have SPG or BA points.
I don't remember seeing one that specifically targeted the US card before, so unless someone corrects me, I'm thinking this is a new promo and not a recycling of a 2010 page for whatever reason (like happened a couple of weeks ago on the phantom Jump Start page popping up). That's good news for me, as long as the "cost" that they're talking about is the cost of the miles, and it's not just 50% off the transaction fees. I'm trying to get myself to Vancouver in First on AC without going broke. So far, no dice, and not a big enough stockpile of miles to part with 100k for 2 people to go to Canada, but this might be just the solution I need!
Interesting twist. It seems they're testing out a bunch of new promos. I personally like this one better than the last with the toolbar because you'd presumably be able to get the 50% off immediately.

Links are working now.
Share 50K plus 37.5K bonus at the regular 1cpm share rate with tax and $30 fee - $567.50. 1.5cpm - nowhere near as nice as the 1.1 cost of 100% bonuses. Says this is valid from April 4th to May 15th.
If you've got the US card, buy 50K for 50% off or $739.06. 1.47cpm. Appears to be no requirement that the US card is used to make the purchase either. This says it's valid if purchased "before May 14th" - didn't see any more definitive terms.

You may be waiting for a while on that one. Given that US is ratcheting down the promo percentages in such a way that the days of effective return of ~1 cpm (give or take a bit) are over, I suspect that they've noticed that FTers who are exploiting this aren't Maw and Paw Kettle cashing in their US Dividend Miles to to fly to LAS or HNL (stuff that is very low-margin for US, since they can offer on their own inventory, or UA/CO domestic)- they are cashing in for SQ, LX and OZ F.
~1.4 CPM isn't awful on redemption value, especially now that cash fares are starting to balloon thanks to $100+/bbl oil. For a North America-Australia trip in F that's, what, $2240 or so?
That being said, I want to see if Starwood will participate in the Discover America promo, and what they offer. If they offer 1.45 CPM for Starpoints again, that could be a better deal, given the 5K bonus on transferring 20,000 SPG.

Note the conflict of dates with regard to sharing: While the terms clearly indicate it ends May 15th at 11:59pm Pacific, the landing page for Buy/Share/Gift says it's valid April 4 through May 31st.
And of course for some reason the Buy/Gift deal ends May 14th, a day earlier than the Share promo.
Par for the course with the poorly run US website and their promos.

The CPM on this one isn't bad per se, but it is in line with the other reduced promos they've run recently, which haven't tempted me to stockpile more miles. Same goes for this one...
That said, is anyone here buying these miles without any plans for immediate use? I suspect current buyers are still happily redeeming them in the very near future for J/F awards at the new CPM. All the while, there are probably many people like me who want to stock up but are holding out. Wouldn't US want people buying their miles and not using them?
