The absolutely worst US Dividend Miles valuation ever (Points.com->PayPal)

I challenge anyone to find a worse value than the new one from Points.com and PayPal. Yes, you get cash in exchange for your points. But the ratio is simply awful.

Redeeming for a $100 PayPal credit costs more than 120,000 points. It was so bad I thought it was a typo. Seriously, what were they thinking??

Simply unconscionable:

Wow. I would have to be REALLY hard up for some cash to go for that. That is ridiculous.

Hmmm, next time I have 120,000 miles to spend, I can take a trip like the one I detailed in my signature, or I can get $100...

If paypal will give someone $.001 per mile, maybe they will turn around and sell them to me for $.002 per mile. Everybody wins (except for the original seller).

PayPal once again demonstrates a keenly developed sense of how to execute a ripoff.

Hey, if this gets a few miles off the books or helps subsidize sales to us at the previous promo rate, I'm all for it.

I wish points.com would open up USair for trading. I'd love to get rid of some of the others I have.....

Somebody posted on the AC board yesterday a $50 credit cost just shy of 9000 miles. They indicated it was a similar rate for gift cards. I haven't looked myself though.

You're pressuring yourself because it's such a difficult decision. At the end of the day, you just need to pick one and know that you can't go wrong either way.

Clearly the $100. He's already done the trip. Why do it again?

Good one.

For the record, I'd do a trip like that monthly if I had the time and the miles. ^

My miles were expiring in a couple of months and I fly other airlines. It looks as though the Points.com/Paypal offer has changed. Here is what I exchanged:

60,295 US Air Miles

$250.00 Paypal
