Can I upgrade on ORD-CLT-AUA?

I'm a 1k with UA but flying on US Air from ORD-CLT and CLT-AUA 3/21 and returning on 3/30 with my family (two adults, two children). Is there anyway to get upgraded to business or first on these flights? I would consider using my UA miles to get bumped (don't know if that's possible).

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!!

Not possible to upgrade on US using UA miles and vice-versa - at least that I know of.

Thanks HTSC...any other ideas/thoughts on how to get upgraded?

Are there confirmed upgrades I could obtain for these flights?

Much appreciated

Not yet. US does have a GoFirst program that sells upgrades up to 24 hours prior to departure when you do OLCI, based on availability. The price varies with distance and is segment by segment I think, but may be available for one direction at the airport if the agent can verify availability for both segments. For 4 people it'd probably be a grand or more each way.

Ouch...that's a bit steep. Guess I'll be buying snacks/lunch in coach and wishing I was sitting in the front of the bus.

Thanks Jim.

I'll be flying Y on US on CLT-AUA next month. Certainly F would be better than coach...even on US... but I doubt that it would be worth what US would want for the upgrade.

I am currently flying LGA-PHL-AUA on US in F. I noticed there is no meal for PHL-AUA (7:55am departure), is this correct? I found some old trip reports that indicated just a snack basket to pick from, but I was not sure if this was current information. On the return I decided to switch to the CO nonstop to EWR to be safe!

Appears to be 4.5 hour flight, which means there's a meal...

Edit: Checked the website for the flight and it shows breakfast.

Thank you, that is good to know. It seems its also the Envoy class equipped 752, therefore we should have IFE.
