Alternatives to US Air

US Air recently cancelled their agreement with my company for corporate rates. What are best alternatives among AA, DL, ATA, NW, or UA for FF programs. I am moderatly sensitive to price, and very interested in best program that enable status matching, complimentary upgrades, partner travel options, etc.

I am based at MCO (Orlando), traveling most frequently to SDF (Louisville, KY) and to the PHL/DCA/ORF seaboard areas.

I am moving regretfully from US Air, but the scrutiny from the boss is too much to stick around.

From MCO it's going to mean lots of connections if you ditch US. Most of those airlines (though I know little about ATA - they don't fly to SDF) will do a status match.

DL, NW will continue to offer you free upgrades while AA and UA will require certificates.

UA you'd transfer it IAD, while DL you'd transfer in ATL. Neither airport is worth writing home about.

NW you'd probably be able to transfer in MEM and/or DTW which would be semi-convenient for SDF, but terribly inconvenient compared to IAD or ATL for PHL/DCA.

All in all, I'd probably go with DL. You'll get your free upgrades, and the SkyTeam network (which is "ok", but not *A). They've got convenient schedules and high frequency between ATL and MCO and between CVG and MCO. Just understand that ATL can be a real pain in the butt and expect some hairy situations. Try to transfer in CVG whenever you can for your trips to SDF.
