When is US adding main cabin extra to the existing fleet?

Sure. But that's only 1 row.

For certain long haul flights where there are just 2 classes (coach and business), it might make sense to look at a "plus" section like BA offers. For a few hundred $ more (each way) on a US - London booking, World Traveller Plus is a no brainer. Wider seats (a 2-3-2 config instead of 3-4-3 on a 747, 2-2-2 instead of 3-3-3 on a 777) with leg rests, foot rests, 38" pitch and a few meal choices from the business class cabin.

The "new" AA, aligning with their best OW partner BA, could learn a few things from them on those key routes. They'd likely be sold fully well in advance of each flight....

WT+ is 2-4-2 on both the 747 and and the 777.

US's fare classes being aligned to AA's:

B->B
M->H
H->K
Q->M
N->L
V->W
L->V
S->G
K->S
U->N
E->Q
R->E
I'm sorry, but what is an E fare on AA? Do you mean O?

Nope, I copied and pasted from the source. Maybe AA is adding -E- as part of this process or maybe some other explanation, dunno. (typo also a possibility, although I tend to doubt it.)

The E bucket on AA is the inventory used for same day confirmed change. Presumably, that's what US called "R."

Nope, that's not right. R is US's lowest fare bucket. I have bought R before. It can be ridiculously cheap.

Maybe they are getting rid of R fares altogether.

Based on the relatively quick reaction to the negative response to the recent changes in catering, it appears that the new management does indeed listen to its customers, perhaps it is time to start becoming more vocal on this subject - along with IFE, seat power outlets.

Yes - and it is also the inventory that needs to be available for SDFC

Well, according to another poster who experienced it on a flight. The first US Express (PSA) CR9 now has MCE on board. It seems that this is a new delivery. Not because that is in the new livery. But because it has wi-fi. This is in keeping with the statement that new deliveries starting in the fall would have the AA interiors.
