ORD Connections
I'm looking to fly PHL-ORD on US and ORD-CID on AA. What's the minimum amount of time people would give to connect in ORD considering that I'd need to change terminals (I think).
Thanks!
Thanks!

Many of the times that ORD is messed up your connection will be delayed as well, but in cases where you're inbound on a smaller regional jet, there's greater risk it gets delayed more than a mainline flight. Mainline flights also tend to run with pretty high load factors, at least on the CLT/PHL-ORD routes, so getting on a later flight can be tougher there than other stations, especially if you're traveling with others.
And this is why I try to avoid ORD for connections, though doing so is not always possible.

Having connected literally hundreds of times there over the past 20 years, my personal ORD policy for domestic connections is 90 minutes. Others will differ, but back when I was doing a lot of US-UA or UA-UA connections there, I had much better luck with connections that averaged in the 90 min range.
