LOL, just to be clear that is me in the picture, Doug Parker is not my daughter's emotional support animal!

Good grief

So we had burned a mess of miles on F tickets for my MiL. She reports back on one long leg as follows:

Woke up to find arm being licked. Was scared and startled. Turned out to be large, furry dog in aisle. Belonged (along with smaller lap-bound pooch) to folks a row or two back.

My MiL happens to be scared as heck of dogs. Fortunately, she doesn't have allergies. Where does one person's emotional support end and another's begin?

There are a whole class of things that US does (downgrade without meaningful compensation) or doesn't do (like spare us non-"dog people" your dogs during our flights) that keep me a miles grifter. Imagine if one were actually paying for First and had these sorts of experiences.

Wrong - the law does not require "the note from the doctor" and it actually indirectly prohibits the challange from the airline employees.

Diagnosed as being allergic to dogs?

Mrs. Tacostuff has a diagnosed allergy to dogs. Let's say someone sat next to her with a dog (whether as a carry-on or emotional support). If she mentioned the allergy to the FA, what would happen? Would the person with the dog be required to move, or would they try to make my wife move?
