I called the UK line for US Reservations last Thursday to enquire whether my ticket was refundable. "Yes," said the very helpful agent. "No problem, just call back when you've finalised your plans."
All good, I thought.
Fast-forward to Monday and I call back, having concluded that I don't actually need to go to SFO after all.... "Oh, " says the (equally helpful) US agent. "That ticket's already been cancelled."
Not worth making a fuss about as they did what I wanted (albeit prematurely) but I think I would have been more than a little peeved to find out I had no more booking if I did still want to travel...
