Property "Irregularity" aka Lost Luggage @ LAX - Action Items

Just took a quick hop from Phoenix to LAX - bag did not come out on carousel, it was the second to last flight tonight and it did not arrive with the final flight either.

I filed a property irregularity report.

The nice woman at the counter told me it she figures it may come in tomorrow morning, but that she had no way of knowing, because UsAir does not track luggage (What?!).

Anyways, what do I need to do now that I am not thinking of.... to expedite my baggage return and to prepare for the worst... in case it's lost and gone forever.

Btw, I was in First and there was a Priority tag on my bag, not sure if that will help at all or makes a difference, just throwing that out there too...
