Departure Tax

I have a US flight out of PUJ. How do I find out if the Dominican Republic departure tax is included in the price of my ticket?

If it was included it should be in the breakdown of the ticket price.

Jim

PS - just did a dummy booking and the $139 in taxes/fees is quite a bit more than what the U.S. imposes.

The taxes we pay to fly in the United States are relatively low when compared to the rest of the world.

I always hated how a $150 fare in Europe became $300.

Please however remember, that in Europe airlines are required to show all inclusive prices (IIRC since 2008 - EU regulation) - something that in US was mandated by DOC only a few weeks ago...

In 2008 there was a fee collection station at PUJ where they collected $20 cash or the like. I think this was on the departure so bring money with you just in case.
