I've thought about just changing that number to random four digit numbers before to see what kind of promotions I could stumble upon that I didn't know about. Anyone ever done that and actually found something?

There's only 10,000 possibilities!! You might find a diamond in the rough.

A few years ago some Ft'ers actually did this and came up with some great offers.

If you're already CP till 2/06 and register for this, do you think you could get it extended till 2/07?

This promo couldn't have come at a better time. I am a gold who will stay gold forever...just enough travel to be a middle of the line gold but not enough to be a CP. But right now I am on a full boat of US flights. I will have my 18 segs by mid-august. Do you think the CP will kick in then or will I have to wait until November? Also, this better go into 2007 or I will be an un happy camper. CP for only a few months....I don't think so.

The promo specifically states the status is good until feb 07.
I too am wondering if we have to wait till November to get the new status

Okay, I haven't been bored enough to sit around and work my way through 10,000 possibilities, but I did pick around a little changing some words in other links and I found this:

http://www.usairways.com/fly/

I thought it was a pretty good find.

It will be interesting to see how long it remains...

What do you mean?

It still works when I click on it.

I priced something out on it earlier. Does anything come up when you click it?

Just curious...

It was a page that gave you 5% off of any airfare. Well, there was a disclaimer that said some extremely discounted fares were exempt, but I priced several things out with it earlier today and saw the discount.

It said something about apologizing for the long wait times on the reservation line.

It must have been something that an automated message referred people to if they were on hold a really long time or something.

Oh well. 5% isn't that much anyway.
