Does anyone think that even if we have 2500 miles posted for registration , that we may lose it if we don't fund the account and purchase one trade before May 14, 2012?
Interesting point. But I think as long as the account remains "open," then the "subscription" is fulfilled.

Great news. Easy 2500 miles.

Another easy one is the U.S. Airways debit card for $30 per year. I already had the Alaska Air debit card with B of A. so switched to US. Airways. Just went through the link to B of A site (already a good customer since 1987) and requested for debit card.

3000 miles bonus with 1st purchase which I made at McDonalds

By the way what type of account did you open to get miles posted the following day? I opened my "personal investment" account three days ago and still waiting for miles to post.

Cheers!
As expected in my earlier post above, they posted miles on Tuesday. I got my 2,500 miles posted today, opened the account last Wednesday. It was the same last week (miles posted on Tuesday). I never funded my account nor made any trade yet.

Interesting.
I might have to do that, and register that debit card for dining and get 2 hits.

I opened an account today and funded $15.
Time to trade something..

share builder

Hello All,

I would appreciate if someone can help me figure this out. I opened a sharebuilder account last year. That was closed or made inactive after 9 months. This was a trading account.

I want to get the same hit this year. What are my options?

Thanks for the replies in advance.

Just for fun, I did even better last week with the same BofA card. That card only gives one mile for every TWO dollars spent. So when I went to Whole Foods and made a $35 purchase, I had the cashier take exactly two dollars off on the BofA card and then apply the rest of my balance to my US MC.

Thanks. So the pointer as I understand is to open a traditional IRA account. Please correct me if I am wrong.

see post #8 in this thread. it seems you can reinstate your old account and still get the miles.
