Thank you. I've noted this in post #1, with a suggestion for the next cheapest (.80) item in case the Wedgy Scabard doesn't return.

As I am not US based and hate to let things go to waste (aka let thing rod in a post-box): If anybody has got an US address for me (via PM) that would appreciate biscuits, flowers and other riff-raff during the GS I'd be more than happy to use that adress for all my GS purchases. I'm sure there's lots of non US-based FT'ers this could be intersting for.

Can anyone please tell me if I should join Audience Rewards to start earning miles so that when the time comes, I can redeem them? Or is that not how it works? Sorry, I am new to this and I am not quite sure how exactly Audience Rewards works...

Given my personal experience with Master Threads, I suggest not doing one for every partner, especially if anyone is thinking along the lines of setting them up up-front, with no initial content.
We would end up having many essentially worthless threads, which would create confusion.
I recommend establishing master threads perhaps by a 'type' of of partner. (All Rental Car companies; All Hotels; etc.) Then if there are issues with individual companies, a separate thread could be created to address those.
You want real content in the master threads in order for them to be useful. Otherwise, you'll end up with little more than a different type of confusion and people won't bother to use them.
Also, a large number of master threads, which many people won't use, will result in lots of posts that need to be moved around. That's still the job of your volunteer moderators, who have lots of other responsibilities, day jobs, lives, etc., so keeping up will be frustrating and difficult. Please don't set us up to fail you in that regard.

Since OfficeMax.com gives 3 miles/dollar, and the Ink Refill for Chain Pen costs less than a dollar ($0.80), is there any chance we won't get miles at all because it's under a dollar? Would they be so cold as to short us that way? Or would they round 80 cents up, or give fewer than 3 miles? Worked ok last year with the 59-cent item but that was a year ago...

I'm a current verizon customer, but my contract is close to coming up. I wonder whether there's any way to get the 10k miles and a hit for resubscribing? All I seem to see is the offer where you get a droid phone plus 2 years. I don't want the droid phone.
If anyone figures out a way to reup with verizon and get the points, please post!

Also, in case anyone has trouble with that splash page, I note that your US DM number must be entered IN ALL CAPS.

It looks like the phone options are the Droid 2, LG Vortex, Blackberry Bold, or Droid X. If you don't want one of these, you may be out of luck. Generally these deals require you to keep the phone active on your line for six months or the rebate is revoked, so you can't just switch back to your old phone and sell the free phone.

For anyone overseas, if you need a US partner/address, let me know. I am self employed with a separate office. You can use my office address for your cookies/office supplies/flowers. The Mrs. will enjoy the flowers.

- the serious useability cost of having a very cluttered, constantly shifting thread list
- the fact that many partners really don't need (or deserve) a separate thread
- the experience of past Grand Slams, which IMO is that combined threads work quite well if the OP is willing to curate post #1 to capture and organize the best suggestions of thread participants
- the benefit for users of having to subscribe to only one thread (which produces potential side benefits such as learning about good partner opportunities that one might not otherwise consider)
I think the mods are right that less is more. And as AZ Travels says, people can still create a partner-specific thread if there's really a crying need for it. YMMV.
