UA Insider Update (Aaron Goldberg Replaces Shannon Kelly)
Hi Everyone,
I wanted to let you know that beginning this week, you’ll be seeing a new ‘face’ under the UA Insider handle. Aaron Goldberg is our new Sr. Manager of Customer Experience, and a resident expert on the topics near and dear to those of you here. Like many of my co-workers, Aaron has been a long-time lurker in the United FlyerTalk forum. Also, like many of us, he’s a self-proclaimed ‘aviation nut’ and continues to be an avid flyer. I can’t think of a better person to be taking on this role, and participating on behalf of United. Like me, Aaron will be supported behind the scenes by familiar faces such as Carlos and Irina, and many of my colleagues and leaders that you’ve met over the years.
As for me, I have truly valued the opportunity to answer questions, share information and build direct relationships with many of you. While you may not see me here as often, rest assured that as I take on my new role of planning for united.com and our other eCommerce projects, I’ll be lurking on a regular basis.
I’m personally grateful for your passion and feedback over the years. Your ‘tough love’ is what continues to make us better. Please join me in welcoming Aaron to the FlyerTalk community.

Welcome, Aaron!
Shannon, it has truly been a pleasure to interact with you and please allow me to offer big congratulations to you on your new position! UA is a better airline because of you. ^
Our tough love for Shannon is paired with a deep appreciation for the work she does and her efforts to keep us continually informed. Usually, if it's bad news, we're displeased with the message, but certainly not the messenger.
If anything, I think we're all very glad to have someone that will relay the message to the decision makers and who will, when warranted, fight on our behalf. Looking forward to communicating with you, Aaron!

Helmet? Bah! Full body armor probably isn't even enough. Welcome - but realize that in your role you are representing a company that a LOT of us think has been consistently achieving new lows in the definition of customer relationship and customer respect so be ready for that.

Shannon-
Thanks for your insight and regular updates and best of luck in your new role. We look forward to the improvements you will bring to .bomb. Though we often sarcastically use the word "enhancement" around here relating to FF benefits, I hope we see some true enhancements from your team's efforts to improve and update the UA website.
Aaron-
as pdx1M accurately said, there is a fair bit of angst towards UA on this board recently, much of it IMO is well deserved -- so suit up and get ready. one thing we appreciate here more than anything is transparency and honesty. even if we don't like what the company has to say, we receive bad news a lot better if it's open, honest, and forthright with a reasonable explanation. we look forward to hearing more from you!
