hey guys, I'm travelling through SEA next weekend and I'm wondering which united club is best. I guess there is on at the B gates and one at the N gates. Does anyone have a preference and why?
I only used the "B" club once. The receptionist was particularly outstanding, but the club is grim. It's small, has no bathrooms, and it was filled with dirty cups and glasses.
The "N" club is windowless, but otherwise quite pleasant. The staff are unerringly friendly, the bathrooms are clean, and it's always been quiet inside.
The only problem is the distance between the two clubs: if you have "B" departure, the "N" gates are a long train ride away.
All of this will change when United moves to a consolidated operation on the other side of the airport, so any problems are temporary.

Some of the nicest, most helpful, most empathetic staff I've ever encountered at any club (and, unlike most who seem to post here, I almost always have good interactions with almost all club staff)

I did not care for the N club in Seattle because it was really crowded and there were no windows it felt kind of weird
...does the SEA AS Boardroom allow UC members like PDX?
Do tell UC members get into Boardroom at PDX?
Pretty sure that when CO severed AS codeshares and such is when we lost access to SEA Boardroom. Of course back then it was the Pres Club that got you in.

The only thing I can add to this thread is that the N Club is usually only crowded until the Tokyo departure around 1:00 p.m.unless there are irrops someplace else in the system. The staff at both clubs are good. I agree that you should go to the club closest to your flight gate as it is quite a trek to go between clubs and terminals, even with the train. That being said, the former CO flights to EWR usually depart from the B terminal.

I've been in both clubs once; the staff was great in both of them. As previous posters have mentioned, the B club is really small and the only time I've ever been in a club that didn't have a bathroom. I was there after dark so I never noticed the windows.
A few weeks ago, I was in SEA around 9pm and saw that the B club was already closed with a sign directing people to the N club, even though the united app said that it was open until 12:30am. All the redeye flights were leaving out of N, regardless of destination; the B concourse was deserted. The N club was completely empty that night. I thought it was very nice. It is a little hard to find, even if you know to look for it on the transit level. It's like trying to find the one in SAN.

I would concur...it's about the only time I ever see what I would consider crowded.

Yes, the PDX AS Boardroom currently allows access to UC members...just show your boarding pass and membership card....not sure if it's that way with the other AS Boardrooms.
