How would a UA BusinessFirst Lounge sound?

Lufthansa has a 3 lounge system with Business, Senator, and First (Lounge & Terminal). Since UA is really close to Lufty, what if UA also did a 3 tier lounge system but with a slightly different structure:

United Club, BusinessFirst Lounge, GlobalFirst Lounge

Say access to the BusinessFirst Lounge is restricted to people with a BF boarding pass and 1K/GS traveling internationally only? How would a BF lounge sound to fellow flyers?

Why? Sounds like a lot of expense for duplication of services.

I would be already glad if UA would try to copy a LH Frequent Traveller lounge. I personally love the Senator Lounge and always try to take advantage of them whenever possible.

Like an airline with an identity crisis about the class of service they currently offer.

It sounds like a place where they charge $5, instead of the regular $2 for a bottle of water

The brand is already screwed up enough. Should I book GlobalFirst, BusinessFirst, Business, or First? Once that's done - should I go to the GlobalFirst Lounge, United Club, or the BusinessFirst lounge?

I was just at the lounge at LAX (I gather the biz F one??), where they wouldn't let me in (with a biz ticket), saying that only if I was on an international flight I would have access.

Reason given by the lounge dragon (male):

"If we gave all our First Class customers lounge access with the number of flights we operate, we wouldn't be able to seat all of them in the lounges..."

Biz ticket from LAX to where?

Your sig says LH Sen? You didn't show that card?

You get in on any class of ticket with your LH Sen credentials or any other international *G status/card.

The lounge dragon quoted the rules for US based M+ members that haven't purchased a separate UC membership. There's some exceptions for PS flights, that's why I asked the first question.

Domestic US LAX-EWR.

I did use the SEN card, after being denied due to what I reported earlier.

are you saying you used the SEN card after being denied, and then you were permitted to enter?

or you were denied access with your SEN card?

I guess you are saying the first one. That you were denied (correctly) then had to produce your SEN card to get access. That's the way it works here. We don't get free lounge access on most domestic flights unless it's part of an international itinerary or we are an international *G member. When we're in Frankfurt, Munich, Asia, (overseas), etc we get lounge access on any class of ticket because then we're international *G members.
