Not sure what is leading to this, but some very good prices (relatively speaking) on F fares to Asia bookable on United.com right now. According to the fare rules, these fares must be booked and ticketed by Dec 17.
I've had good luck finding sub $3300 fares BOS-NRT, MIA-PVG, EWR-PVG and on a few other routes all the way through September, 2013. Some UA codeshares on NH metal are showing on many dates, along with the multitudes of UA routings and options.
I just grabbed BOS-IAD-NRT (NH 77W)/NRT-LAX (NH 77W)-BOS in September for roughly $3200 all-in.
Programs: UA 1K, DJ Plat, Hilton Diamond, SPG/PC Gold, Hertz PC

Almost certainly a mistake fare. Most of the prices are the same as the NH fares in business.
The fare class is "PFX0ZBUP" which implies a "P" fare (Discount Business), but it's booking into "A" for the international legs where it should only be "A" for domestic flights.
Not mistake fares at all. Just matching AA. I had a $4400 fare last month from JFK-PVG & just booked that $3200 MIA-PVG for next time I'm in NY. Much cheaper then EK's fares from DXB and I get a boat load of *A EQM'S & RDM's so can make 1K very quickly for 2014 with these fares. Last months trip earned around 28K EQM's and 65K RDM's. not bad for $4,000 when you don't have to worry about upgrades and other crap that's ruined plenty a trip

With flights to China, Hong Kong, and Australia, this will be my year of Asia.

There's quite a bit out availability on ANA (UA codeshares) out of IAD and ORD from BOS with this fare. If you're flexible with your dates, you should be able to grab F on a NH 77W at least one way. Since I assume your booking is still less than 24 hours old, you should be able to make the changes free, as well.

I bought RT BOS - IAD - NRT in F, however, my final destination is SIN. If I were to I buy a RT NRT - SIN in Y (on UA) on a different confirmation but same dates, what would UA do in should my flight be delayed and I miss my onward connection?
