Traveling as a couple in F, UA 772ER vs NH 77W

We are going from ORD-BKK in the spring and have the option of routing through PVG on UA/TG or through NRT on NH/TG. Either way will take about the same amount of time, give or take an hour. I mostly fly long haul solo and it would be a no brainer for me if I were going alone. UA's "suite" are more open and have that tiny little "ottoman" (she's sat on it before and doesn't mind) while NH's suite is much more private, do you think UA would be better for a couple? Anyone have experiences flying as a couple in both? Look forward to any and all opinions...thanks.

Under no circumstances would I take UA F if NH F were an option.

Agreed, if NH F is open, especially on the 77W with the suites I would snatch that up in a heartbeat!

Would you rather arrive in Asia in a Lexus (NH F) or a Chevy (UA F)?

Thanks DougDons, Gtown, Rankourabu and GetSetJetSet:

Loving the responses, especially "Lexus vs Chevy"...HA!!! Like I said, no brainer for me. Will show thread to the lovely lady that ranks cribbage at the top of her needs on a transpac flight.

NH Business versus UA BF? I am comparing NH on their new 787 to UA BF on a 777 (assuming new config)

Again, not even close - the NH Business staggered seat is amazing. Isn't it 1-2-1 or 1-1-1 depending on the row? Soft product will blow away UA too.

You might also be able to get TG F through NRT which would be a bonus. I don't think TG flies and F product to PEK.

+1 on TG. One of the daily NRT-BKK flights is TG's A388 with their new F suites.

Correct. Best they offer from PVG-BKK is business on a two class a330. Unfortunately, no seats (in any class) are showing up on TG from NRT-BKK on our day of travel, best currently available is coach on an NH 767
