Anyone see the new boarding pass from online check-in? Big improvement IMHO. Maybe someone with more expertise than I have can upload an image. Update....Got it.
Actually, let me correct myself.....I think this is a huge improvement.
As I recall, there was discussion of upcoming BP changes at the DO.

Looks better than the pos BPs they've been using since 3/3. Hopefully the kiosk and agent BPs will be redesigned to reduce the clutter and make it easier for inexperienced travelers to read their BP.

The current BPs are a huge POS, HUGE. I still have trouble locating the pertinent information and I'm no rookie.
Agreed better but there are a ton of fonts. I suspect that if there were a gate it would be the same size as the other info on the that "row". Also the board time is a little confusing. Yes you want people at the gate to board on time but many people may confuse that as the departure time because it is the biggest font.

Now if they can only do the same with the chicken-hatched BPs.
And, so long as we're venting on BPs, can we do away with the flimsy paper BPs, particularly from the PMCO kiosks, and how about bringing back the gold and blue cardstocks?
I got a boarding pass like this from a kiosk at CLE on 24 November. The font and layout are a little bit different, but the components are functionally identical.
To my mind the big changes are (1) the huge "Premier 1K" written on the boarding pass, presumably just to infuriate the loyal former CO travelers who don't like seeing elites treated differently and (2) the cabin class is now written out explicitly, which may help partner lounge attendants who cannot discern immediately that your "6J" is business-class.
I just noticed something: the OP's BP says for LAX that "all United flights depart from T6 or T7." What about T8?
Sure, it's largely United Express, but then again, a lot of pax aren't going to draw that distinction. And unless it's changed (and it could have), UA does operate some mainline a/c out of T8.

+100
The flimsy BPs need to go.. Gold and blue would be nice, too! I think it would be kind of weird if I asked an agent to pop some of my gold stock into the printer when on MRs..

The current BPs need to reduce the size of the gate. Seems like most people confuse the gate assignment with their seat assignment.
Would also like to see the elimination of arrival times and # of miles on the BP.. Just more clutter.
