If they do it won't be before Q2. I predict the number of elites next year will decline sharply. The rest will depend on how badly they'll want to keep them.

UA did not match AA's recent DEQM and it certainity too late to start such a program for 2012. As for 2013, UA has not even announced the terms for the 2013 MP program yet and there has been no hints of any DEQM.

My email from AA said the offer was an "apology" for less than expected performance. I'm guessing a lot of UAneeCO customers might feel they are owed an apology and pqm match as well. Just guessing.

anyone else have the sneaking suspicion that the longer they wait on this announcement the worse it's going to be? Don't they normally have it announced by now? (or am I just totally losing it and forgetting how things used to work?)
I got a possibly targeted offer for DPQM on the IAD-DXB non-stop through 1Q 2013, but only on a B or better fare. Lesser fares gained 1.5PQM, IIRC. I've flown that route many times, even a few on B, so maybe a small target offer.

I couldn't take the anxiety of waiting for UA to offer DEQM for 2012 so I booked a ticket for BKK. Gives me a chance to catch up on the movies...or at least finish Dark Knight. :-)
