Edit: and now it's in the air headed to BFI, but it's N26906 not N20904.
Yeah, N26906 is headed back to Boeing, but has there been any advisory from UA about it? And it appears that N26902 is headed for Houston in only three days on November 16, and that N49505 is headed to Houston on November 28, with one more headed there before the end of the month. So who knows what's up with the second one, but three more are coming, which should mean that UA is flying at least five of them by the end of the year. Last, is the first international debut IAH to LOS, or am I missing something?

The first international 787 flight was to be IAH - AMS next month, however that's been axed and the first 787 international flight will now be LAX - NRT in January.

Thanks. Looks like Fl 32 LAX-NRT debuts on January 3 and on January 7 Fl 142 goes from IAH to LOS. AMS service from IAH starts February 24 and IAH-LHR starts February 4. Four nice routes to start. Let's hope the aircraft doesn't change.
Programs: Last 1K flight 1/21/11; fun while it lasted, 1P in 2011, Plat for 2012 & '13.

Seriously? I want UA employees to be proud and have a chance to experience what their boss sees as the future of the airline. The more invested the employees become, the better for all of us. And the more incentive for UA to keep those new planes coming as fast as possible.

I'd rather fly on the 787 when I buy a ticket for a flight scheduled on a 787 if that's the alternative.
Well it can't be to broken or it wouldn't be in the air. Let's hope it is something small with a quick turn around time.
The machine that smashes your bags in the hold is broken. While not necessary for safe operation of the aircraft, UA paid for this game changer & they want to use it. Other aircraft requires employees to manually smash your bags but this next generation 787 has a device similar to a trash compactor located right in the luggage hold & they can smash your bag during the flight w no employee participation needed
