UA 5000 mile bonus offer available for Explorer Card?

United is offering 5000 bonus miles for spending $1000 using its Mileage Plus card by October 31.

Does any one know if this offer is also available by using the United Explorer card?

The Explorer card is called United MileagePlus Explorer card and the other card is the United MileagePlus Club card, so both cards are MileagePlus cards. I think that either applies to the promo and probably the two business cards as well.

I should clarify. I applied for this card in September and although I've met the spend, I haven't received my bonus miles yet. By signing up for this offer - A) does anyone know if I'll be eligible? and B) will it invalidate my sign up offer?

Can't say for sure, but typically you need to register first, then spend after that.

A question I have is regarding this: "Use your MileagePlus credit card to purchase United or Copa Airlines© travel, buy groceries, fill up your vehicle’s gas tank, eat at restaurants or pay your bills, and earn award miles for each $1 USD spent on your card." I assume that you can spend on others things, not just the items they mention, as part of the $1,000 spend?

Damm - just bought a ticket for $1400 from EWR to DEL and didn't know about the promotion. I don't think I can make a $1000 spend in just 26 days now (

I'm confused on this aspect, too. It seems to read that it will apply to purchases made from Aug. 1. But, then it specifically notes the date that I registered. Although, I should be able to rack up $1,000 by the 31st.

There's another one with a $3k minimum spend, with a different promotion code, same dates and points.

I don't know if they stack. Says one reward per member, but they're different codes.
