So not just one pair of new LHR slots, but two? Are the slots coming from the JV or reduction elsewhere?

In addition to loosing HNL & GRU, looks like HTA is also loosing AMS & LHR. No wonder some of them transferred out of HTA and to the satellite bases.

Why the heck put 1 & 2 on IAD - MUC? They could at least put those numbers at an sCO hub since those are original sCO FLT #s. Heck pick a different set of #s for IAD - MUC, and put 1 & 2 on EWR - LHR or something.

Careful,

UA1/2 CO1/2 brought about a whole mess of posts about which flight should get new UA1/2

But I do agree with you, if you are going to have UA1, it should be a special flight, your flagship flight.

Just my humble opinion.

ORD-HNL flight 1 and 2. Or the round the world flight. Both airlines had those flight numbers.

I am shocked that all three IAH-LHR frequencies will operate with the 763. Even with the upgraded interior on these birds, BA becomes a more comfortable way to travel as they use 747/777 on the IAH-LHR route.

Yes, but if were going by the way the flights are numbered now 1 & 2 would be under the sCO number system.

I am a little surprised that IAH-LHR is going to all 763s... Maybe one or two will be upgauged in the summer. Where the heck are the 777s going?

IAH-LHR probably has the highest load factor for all LHR routes, maybe they just want to drive up fares.

As for UA 1/2, I would put this on EWR-HKG or EWR-TLV, but honestly I do not really care much about flight numbers.

Where are all these 777 going then? +1

I much prefer a 777 to a 767 on my TATLs! (Although I have yet to be an updated 767)

2-1-2 seating in BF vs 2-2-2.

2-3-2 seating in Y vs 3-3-3.

Same seat types in BF, same type of AVOD throughout. Now tell me why a sCO 772 is better than an upgraded 2-class sUA 763, other than better overhead bins???

Having said that, it'll be a reduction of BF seats in the market, from 100 to 90 daily.

Shorter flight time. A 777 cruises faster then a 767

I was on an updated 767 & it was fine but like you, I'll take a 777 every time over a 763/764. But then I'll also take a 747 over a 777 which I know is not a popular opinion. Just wish UA never bought those 787's & went with he 77W & 77L's instead
