AAttractive up to 100K TATL bonus promotion: will UA react?
AA is offering 100K bonus promotion for 3 TATL rts, on AA, BA and IB flights thru 1/31 next year.
Besides F, C, also the 3 highest Y-fares qualify

Maybe. Doubt it though. UA doesn't like customers much right now.

I doubt it as well. That promo is just too generous and while UA may be suffering from the drip-drip of customers slipping away, it isn't facing a massive PR debacle at the moment like AA.

I can't believe they'll let you fly BA and Iberia and still get the miles... They must be desperate...

The oneworld partnership - particularly the ATI for TATL flights - is much more generous when it comes to counting partner travel for bonus earning. This is not the first time that a TATL promo like this has earnt points flying on multiple carriers. You can also earn double AA points for flying on JAL's 787 flights between NRT and SAN/BOS this winter. It is just one of the things those carriers seem to do differently.

As for whether UA matches, I'll bet on no. Not because they hate their customers as suggested above but because they aren't so desperate yet.

Read the promotion. It doesn't require full fare C/F.

I'm not sure how flying Club World involves flying an American carrier...

You are indeed correct. I took down my post. I went by what OP said, without reading the promo myself. It is very generous. Especially cuz we can fly BA (I wouldn't fly AA TATL for any amount of miles)

Many more fares then F, C & the highest 3 Y fares qualify. All the discounted F & C buckets do as well (A,D, I, etc)
