Upgrade to 1st - Price Changes during booking process?
Was booking a flight today, and after I select my flights but prior to seat selection I'm offered the chance to upgrade all 4 of my segments to F for I'm pretty sure $891 (but could have been a different price over $800, didn't pay much attention.)
Then, after I click "confirm purchase", there's a pop-up over the purchase confirmation page, offering me all 4 segments, each with it's own price from about $99 to $209, with a grand total of confirming all 4 segments for $666.
I'm 1K.
Is this common? Offer me one price and when I say no offer me a better price? Or did it maybe price me to M on the confirmation but not on the original offer? (The original offer may have been before I selected myself as a passenger.)

+1 - This has recently reported as part of the classification of "TOD" as an urban myth.
Once the system "sees" OP as a 1K, he gets a better offer. I presume, without knowing for certain that the original quote represents the approximate cost of upfaring from what OP paid to the lowest FC seat availability. That might well be some form of discounted F or possibly a B-UP. But, OP is a 1K, so the lowest FC seat availability is an M-UP.
This is all consistent with the published UG priority which, other than for GS, gives priority to 1K's on Y/B/M fares, priority to other elites on Y/B, then certs, then CPU's. Thus, even a Silver on a B beats a 1K on a deep discount.
Not sure what's going to happen to FT's volume with this occurence.
