Book One-Way Award Travel from Two Accounts and then Combine Itineraries?

I have miles in 2 accounts, each with enough for half hte trip.

Could I book my outbound US -> Europe with one account and my inbound Europe -> US on the other, then somehow combine the two reservations so that I'm allowed a stopover?

(1 way redemptions do not permit a stopover, but round trip ones do).

I would be completing a round trip, all booked through united, just under 2 different MP accounts.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think this is possible. I tried this a while back and was told so long as the tickets are booked as one ways, I am out of luck

Impossible to do since each one-way trip will be on a different PNR. PNRs cannot be combined.

That sucks!

And you can't transfer UA miles without a fee to another account right?

And there's no family accounts like with BA are there (or household accounts whatever they call it now)?
