United Premier Tour for Elites
All, I did a search and could not find anything, has anyone ever attended a "United Premier Tour". I received an invite for an invite at my local airport this coming weekend.
Here is the email

Good morning!
I’m excited for our Premier Tour this Saturday!
Please meet us at the United ticket counter at 7:00am.
Park where ever you’d like short or long term – sorry we don’t validate.
Just a couple of things:
Oh, did I tell you we’re planning on putting you to work?
Wear comfortable clothing – jeans are fine
Please have closed toe shoes – tennis shoes would be great
If you use a purse, please leave it at home if possible. You’ll need ID though.
Bring a camera if you’d like – we’ll be taking pictures as well and will share them with you
We’ll be breaking up into small groups for the tour. Depending on your groups rotation, you may have the opportunity to:
Climb up into the cargo hold
Scan and load bags
Ride in a tug or pushback tractor
Make gate announcements and board customers
Drive a passenger loading bridge
Wing walk a plane out on the tarmac
We’ll have refreshments after the tour, so hope you can stay a bit to chat.
Please let me know if you have any other questions. See you soon!

It seems interesting, although kind of funny at the same time. I spent about $55k on airfare last year and now United is going to get 2 hours of free work out of me Has anyone ever attended one of these?

I have not seen this before, but agree with the others: sounds like something I'd enjoy. :-)
FWIW ... I only spent ~$15k with United, so I probably don't make the grade. :-(

Driving the jet bridge was much harder than I expected.

Glad to see they're still doing these--there are a smattering of threads about similar events in the PMUA forum. IIRC, I got invited once but was, of course, on the road that weekend.

I did this Tour at PDX--great and fun experience--and at PDX, we had a Premium Wine tasting afterwards--highly recommended

At the last DL ATL DO, we were allowed to be gate agents for a morning. It was fun and gave us good insight into how things work. Some people at the *A MegaDO helped LH load bags in MUC. Do it if you can!
