Thumbs up UA MPW999 - UA Will Make Exception to Ticketing Clause for United DEQM Promo

My contact in UA just informed me UA will waive the Ticketing Clause.
To get this exemption, you have to call MP and they will sign you up with a special code which will allow tickets issued before 19th March to qualify for Double EQM Promotion.
It is these gestures that keep me flying the Friendly Skies. Thankyou United^

It will say "Double EQM Ticketing Exception MPW029"
Say "yes" to confirm
It will confirm registration

Dear mrzim:

Thank you for contacting United Airlines Customer Relations. I appreciate the opportunity to be of assistance.

K-class fares do count towards the Double EQM promotion (MPW029). In general, any published fare which qualifies for Mileage Plus credit, qualifies for the Double EQM promotion.

mrzim, as a 1K member you are one of our most valued customers. Thank you for your continued support and loyalty to United Airlines.

Regards,

United Airlines Customer Relations

This sounds awfully fishy. Great if it is true though
I think all of the UA FTers are currently tying up the 1K line

It is 100% true. It became available yesterday. UA was getting overwhelmed with change requests.

Code MPW999. Enjoy!

Special DEQM Promo

A special unadvertised DEQM promo came out yesterday. It allows DEQM on tickets purchased before March 19, with travel dates between March 19 and June 15.

You must call Mileage Plus Customer Service and request promotion MPW999. I hope this saves people some change fees!

I am with MP right now, it sounds like my original registering under MPW029 needs to be changed to MPW999 to get the pre-booked mileage credit. He is not sure, but assures me that I'll be okay for my trip tomorrow. I'll update more when his boss gives him an answer.

EDIT: He was able to change me to MPW999 (and my wife as well), so this seems to be a lock. We'll see in a few months if it worked!

I just called and it worked. MP allowed my previously bought itineraries to qualify for the DEQM promotion. I have 4 itineraries during this promotion.

It is kind of strange that they took the DEQM promotion of their front homepage (at least as of 12:16 PM EST). Maybe they are fixing the terms
