This change is actually not as bad as it sounds, as K/N/G/P/E/T are "Tango" fares while most AC transborder flights typically start at the Tango Plus level. And, while Tango fares within Canada are unchanged at 50%, Mileage Plus is still better than Aeroplan, which only gives 25%.

Very good news indeed.^ I won't go out of my way to fly them due to less chance of upgrades, but nice to know I can take the 100% rdm bonus with me if I do fly em.

How does CA C compare with UA's C. Thinking of flying TPAC out of BOS.

Air Canada (AC), or Air China (CA). For the former, I would give the nod to AC for the quality of the seats, though they are angled, so its a weird sensation. AC has pods, like the Virgin design, which feel roomier than UAs. Also, as noted in other threads, not all lie-flat seats on UA are created equally as some have more space than others.
AVOD is greater on AC than the enterainment on UA, but IIRC, the screen is larger on UA (12 vs 15").
Food-wise, I would give the nod to UA, but the food I have had on AC has been decent.

this is good news, status bonuses on skyteam works on all skyteam carriers, wonder why *A carriers have to make bilateral agreements.

Another ^ here.
I have a May trip to LHR, so I'm glad to have another one stop option besides UA or CO from PDX.
