I ask because I'm getting seats for a family trip, and my son is only 8.
According to SeatGuru, the right side front exit seats are 8D, 8E, and 9F. So it appears that 9D and 9E are not considered exit row seats, but I'd like to be a bit more confident of that. (In other words, can he sit in 9E with me in 9F?)
Other E+ options are limited on this particular flight, else I'd just play it safe and sit elsewhere. Thanks!

All of row 9 is an exit row. You won't be able to sit in row 9 with a minor.

Not true, at 15 you can sit in an exit row and I'm sure a minor is under 18...Originally Posted by drobbva

I was using "minor" in the definition of sitting in an exit row. Correct. Someone under 18, but over the allowable age (15 and up on United) may sit in an exit row.Originally Posted by United757
