Wait. If the AA line moves more quickly than the UA line, doesn't that mean that security on American is of a lower quality than that of UA?

Hey all.. Sorry to drag an old thread up but this came up on a search..
I am flying into SFO on a rev UA tix, Family coming in on redemption on AA.. Am I able to cross into term 2 from 3 airside to meet them at the gate?
