united.com Mileage Summary now shows fare classes!
It appears that the Mileage Summary now shows the coach fare class flown for each flight, instead of the generic K class. Now I see how truly blessed I've been by S and T fares. :D

But for when you upgraded, they show you in full F or C class, rather than the upgraded fare buckets... . But still, a nice change!
|
Shouldn't show paid class rather than flown class? It would be easier to calculate EQMs and Bonus if it showed paid class.
|
Very nice change, indeed. If nothing else, it makes me feel like less of a cheapskate when I see the odd Y,F, or Q fare scattered among the V,W, and S fares!

Wow, nice change! ^
I only wish they would add an EQM column so you could tell which flights have not had the 50% bonus added. Baby steps... |
OK, I give up. Where you seeing this? I just checked my online detail. Lists flights and miles earned. No fare classes.

I found a couple old MP paper statements last night going thru looking for tax stuff.
Fare classes were on there. Never knew I had bought K class before. |

Fare classes were on there. Never knew I had bought K class before. The point of this thread is that the online statements have very recently changed to include expanded booking classes. Previously, discounted economy class defaulted to "K," whereas now it shows the actual booking class. There is no such thing as a K fare on United. |
All of my transcons are showing as C, when in fact the tickets were booked in T class. I don't see the difference to the old style...am I missing something?

You're missing the point: "K" was previously a generic designator for discount economy, but now the mileage summary reflects the purchased fare class, unless the ticket was upgraded. Both AA and CO (not sure about others) do this for their statements. |

El cheapos account for all of my upgraded flights last year and this year thus far. FlysTooMuch and J-H are correct that upgraded fare classes still default, but I guess there isn't enough space to indicate both an original fare class and an upgrade. Let's not expect so much of our beloved web site! ;) |
