Help with delayed flight? 2 Questions - Any ideas?
My partner is stuck at an airport in EU now. Inbound AC had MX delay out of EWR. Plane will arrive 5 hrs late. I had used a SWU for this flight on W fare to upgrade my partner. Yesterday business cabin had C=1; today after the delay many people seem to have been rebooked because C now = 8. Two questions:
1) Is there any way to figure out if the previous MX will cause another delay when the AC lands? Or is there a way to see what the original MX was?
2) EF still reads R=0 but there are 8 seats open now. Is this the new United trying to sell upgrades to people who are tired of sitting on a floor in an airport? Or does anyone think R will open up any time soon. I'd like to get my partner into a lounge if at all possible. (UPDATE) NEVER MIND on this part - He just got upgraded.
