Did Anyone Notice That They Shortened the Elite Benefit Period from 2/28 to 1/31?

Did Anyone Notice That They Shortened the Elite Benefit Period from 2/28 to 1/31?
Finally received my PP card yesterday and the first thing I noticed was that the expiration was at the end of January instead of February. It will be interesting to see if the other airlines follow suit next year as my colleagues tell me that the Elite expiration on American, USAir and Delta is still February. Just one more way to screw your best customers.
