Just checking with Those Who Know: in the 1K MP site it says one gets a booking class bonus of 150% EQM for Z class.
When I read the fine print on .bomb, (considering a Z ticket to Europe), it says only a 1K bonus will be given, no EQM bonus for Z fare?
Am I reading this correctly? Could "justify" the Z fare if I can accrue more EQM points in my race to 1K status.
Thanks

You definitely get a class-of-service EQM bonus (but no RDM bonus). What fine print says otherwise?

Under Fare Rules it says"...Z class fares accrues base miles and Elite status bonus miles but are not eligible for cabin/class of service bonus miles.."
If I can get 150% EQMs thats great; I'm reading the above as saying I get the std EQM from the flight, double RDM miles from being a 1K, but not extra EQMs.
Thanks for your input

Yes, you do get 150% EQMs, and I'm speaking from personal experience.

"Elite status bonus miles" is another way of saying extra EQMs.Originally Posted by mmack

BTW, when purchasing a Z fare that has a domestic (or region 1) connection on a two class plane, the domestic part will book into A, and you will get both bonus EQMs and class of service bonus RDMs.

From a search on .bomb for "z fare EQM" I got the following:
"Plus, when you fly on United or United Express, Continental, US Airways, Air Canada and Lufthansa on a paid ticket in First Class (F A), Business Class (J* C D Z) and Unrestricted Economy (Y B), you can earn a 50% elite status miles / elite status segments bonus. So it's easier than ever to retain your Premier Executive status."
From my reading, it looks to be true if your are 2P, 1P or 1K. Not sure if it counts for GMs.
I have a Z fare on UA from FRA to ORD coming up. Hoping for 150% EQMs! I got 150% EQMs for BKK-ORD just a few weeks ago. That was a nice boost.

for earning purposes, it's exactly the same Y/B.
So why is *A so stingy about taking the 25% RDM bonus away? Figure an avg intl segment would be 4000 miles, so they're penalizing the customer 1000 RDM for discount business? Both OneWorld and SkyTeam give the bonus, and SkyTeam actually gives more...

And still no upgrading of Z using SWUs?
Z fares earn 150% PQMs and 125% RDMs. http://www.united.com/CMS/en-US/Mark...es/united.aspx ALso discussed in depth here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...uckets-ua.html.Originally Posted by ozstamps

No GPUs and there is a cash co-pay if using miles.
