The Fed Chairman and his UA Frequent Flyer Card

Whether you think Bernanke deserves Time magazine's Person of the Year selection or not I thought it was quite interesting/curious that of all the things that could be on his wallet, one of them is UA frequent flyer card!. You could actually see it in there, but is it GS, 1K, 1P or what?

It could also be a MP Visa card.

The black should be a 1K card then... though you'd think UA would comp him GS regardless of $$ spending just for being the money god as fed reserve chair...

It looks like the RCC MP Visa which is black with a white united logo on the top left side.

despite this being FT....Jos A Banks? seriously? wow... NOW I understand why he has no concept of the value of money.

It doesn't look like a MP Visa, the only one with a black background is the RCC card which also has the grey logo in the background of the card.

It looks to me like a Red Carpet Club card.

That definitely looks like the GS card, based on the upper right corner of the card, it looks like a "globe" graphics on it. I have both 1K and RCC card and they don't have anything like that.

Amazing catch. I love FT for this stuff. Out of DC he has to be mostly United although US to NYC I'm sure.

The card does NOT match the CY10 card for GS I just got. There are a bunch of dots that make up a globe on the top right. This card does not have them. I was not GS last year so do not know if the CY09 card was different.

Looks like a GS card to me. Definitely not a 1k card.
