Not Happy!

First the refare vouchers, then this?! I'm not sure which hill to make my stand on these days, but this one is huge and worthy of consideration.

I used book and hold to 1) track fares, 2) show potential itineraries to friends whose accounts I manage, and 3) prepare an itinerary for ticketing by mail or at the airport.

United should consider a compromise where only one hold is offered per account per day.

But that would involve UA actually doing something.

Big on this one.

Yep.

AA still offers 24 hour holds (but IIRC no 24 hour refund policy)

Let's hope the current phone holds allowed for awards stays. I'll be if that goes away.

Thumbs down Dangerous waters

This is a huge devaluation in United's usefulness to me. I have to book most of my business trips through a travel agent and I prefer to create an itinerary online, put it on hold and then call the TA who can pull the PNR and have it ticketed. I usually don't really care all that much about the minutiae of what goes on at ual.com to write and complain but this is really ticking me off.

Yep. I always gave UA an edge when helping friends and family find flights because the hold was so convenient. Now, they've lost that edge.

Wow. Poor form, United. One of the most useful features of the website - especially for us kids commuting to home from school, when it was useful to hold itineraries in the coming days before final exam days were finalized. What idiots.

Thumbs down

Please write United about this latest change. It is not acceptable.

United should be adding features to its website, not taking them away.

Right. Welcome to what intl. customers always had - no 24h free cancellation, no hold on united.com, no refare policy.

Bad but normal .

Gah. I loved using this feature. Admittedly, I didn't purchase every ticket I put on hold, but it was nice having the option.

This totally sucks! That feature was great and would like to know the reasoning behind it, or are we in a NO LOGIC zone now?

I already wrote my letter, not email, letter sent internationally which isn't cheap. I'm ticked off, perhaps allow the HOLD feature for elites? Let's compromise as I used this a lot. How is this messing up the works for United?

I'm at that point

Just sent my comments to 1k voice. Not sure it will help, but it sure is helping me conclude that they really don't want my business and by making it more difficult to apply the vouchers and other upgrades .bomb can't handle.

That brings up a great point - so how do you ticket these now?
