Since your travel is connecting to a transcontinental segment, you will receive 100% miles and EQMs.
****
I still say the language is incorrect -- the correct term would be intercontinental and how about if I only had FRA-DTW -- would that still earn full miles if I didn't have a 'connecting' flight?
But the good news is long haul "connecting" flights on Lufthansa in T class will get full mileage credit -- at least for now. I'm still cautious though because OnePass gives you nothing in the same fare class. In addition you can't use a SWU to upgrade this fare to Business.
I'm in the same situation - have 2 transcons coming up (BLR-FRA-SFO) on Lufthansa, booked in L class, and the UA MP site is not clear on the RDM/ EQM earning with L class on a mileage plus account.
Glad to hear that LH's L class transcon earn 100% EQM on UA MP. I've an email out to UA MP customer support, but no response as yet (less than 24 hours)

Hello Mr. Gupta,
We’re always glad to hear from Premier Executive members like you. Thanks for writing.
Travel from Bangalore to San Francisco via Frankfurt in economy 'L' class of service on Lufthansa, will earn 10,312 Elite Status Miles and 20,624 award miles.
Thanks for flying United®.

Got the official confirmation just now - great to get this in writing - the answer is also very well worded and sufficiently specific.
I have the same experience as you with LH K class credited to OnePass. Last week, I flew EWR-MUC-OSL (CO/LH). I had an LH S class ticket and my mother and daughter both had LH K class tickets. The miles for the LH S class ticket posted together with the transcon flight on CO. There have not been any miles posted for the LH K class tickets even if the CO transcon flight has posted. It looks like we have to "fight" for LH K class ticket EQMs even if co.com states they should earn 100%.
The K class change is a real mess. MP says it earns nothing since September while CO still shows it earning 100% both types of miles (and elite bonus). MP is still issuing SWU paper certs for LH that show K is eligible for upgrading (though it now earns no miles). This is a complete mess since LH's system won't recognize K as an eligible fare for its own upgrading or mileage earning!
BTW there's considerable misuse of the term "transcon" which refers to a trans-continental flight (i.e. across a continent) not an inter-continental (between continents) flight as being used by too many here.

Must have missed it... The issue is technically with LH not CO/UA since it is LH that buys the miles from CO. If LH refuses to purchase miles for K fares, what can CO do other than make up for it by buying those mikes and giving them to us?
I have an upcoming flight with a code-share LH ticket (booked in K) and operated by AC from MUC-YYZ. I plan to put the mileage from this flight in my MP. I believe for MP, the mileage is based on the operating carrier, which in this case, is AC. Does anyone know if K in LH translates into K in AC? Also, I believe all TATL with AC is mileage earning in MP no matter what the booking class is. Am I correct? Should I be concerned about not getting any mileage for this trip?
I'm still confused.... I recently flew OSL-MUC-KRK, same route return, in T-class. I got 100% RDM and EQM in MP. These flights are not intercontinental, but would be transcontinental pr my definition. Does that mean any itineraries with connections within Europe qualify for accrual in T? Or did I get my miles by mistake?

...... perhaps change the website? Continental.com was changed for a variety of other things even more mundane and miniscule than this.
The issue remains one for CO-UA and LH.

Flew BLR-FRA on LH L class yesterday and got 100% miles posted to Mileage plus already. Pretty quick, and consistent with L class earning full miles on MP.
Ugh--I flew on a LH K class fare last month and stupidly provided my UA FF # so of course got no credit. Is it worth trying to get credit on CO by submitting my boarding passes now?
