question about repaint star alliance liveried planes

I know that to repaint the PMUA planes will take some time but I was wondering, how quick would it be to repaint the three Star Alliance liveried planes? Couldn't UA get those done in just a few hours? What difference is there between the UA *A livery and the well, new UA *A livery?

The only differences are the engine colors and the United logos.

Changing the signboard is done on an overnight visit. It takes longer than a few hours and requires the airplane to be at the right facility with the right equipment and trained people.

Why would they want to repaint the *A liveries?

AMA's your place. Although is UA sending planes to AMA to get painted? CO sure is sending alot to AMA, and it's always nice to see 737s and 757s, etc at AMA.

Because they include the tulip.

On the *A livery? Isn't it just like a pretty small logo forward of the wing?

FWIW, I thought the OP was talking about a wholesale paint change from the *A livery.

Maybe PMUA isn't eager to have their *A planes look almost identical to the Lufthansa ones, which they will after the engines are repainted.
