3M lifetime this Sat 12 Apr

Will be passing 3M lifetime miles (>95% of them UA BIS) this Saturday somewhere between SFO-HKG-SIN.
Not expecting confettis or any fanfare, but it would be nice to have someone at UA notice this milestone after 20 yrs of flying UA.

Thinking of it: that is a lot of miles. Scary!

[additional information on 15 Apr]: definitely no fanfare.. nothing, zip. Just another flight.

Tomorrow on UA79 from EWR to NRT, I will hit the million mile mark 5,139 miles into the flight. I very much look forward to the confetti shower, champagne toast and conga line parade up one aisle and back down the other!

For the conga line, instead of the traditional Cha-Cha-Cha-Cha-Cha-CHA! I envision Mil-lion-Mil-lion-Mi-LER! Mil-lion-Mil-lion-Mi-LER! It will be spectacular. I am half-hoping the FAs to also release doves, but that might be expecting a bit much...

Well in my neck of the woods, the debate is if wine/grapes are the #1 or #2 cash crop.
But that's a discussion for another thread.

Most F/A's don't have a clue what a MMer is, or how hard it is to attain that level.

In fact, once they happen to find out they usually treat you as if you have been consorting with the enemy!

As a 3MM I received a new 1K card yesterday valid to Jan 2016. Anyone else?
(I guess it saves them 10 drink coupons, although I wonder why it's not indefinite - could the programme be changing in 2016? (and off goes another rumour!))

Just passed 3mm. No confetti.
I'm sure a hearty thank you email will be coming any time now...
