Kudos to JetBlue for anti-gouging during hurricane Irma.
Saw that and supposedly AA matched the offer. My brother just booked with F9 RSW-CLE for approx $220 tomorrow at about noon flight. Very pleased with the rate and service given to him by F9. He claims he is still seeing crazy pricing from UA. Locally the news in SF this AM stated that UA has been accused of "gouging" and in response will be "capping fares". I have yet to see anything official from UA but perhaps others here have.

On RSW-CLE, UA has introduced a Y fare at $745 and an F/J fare at $984, both of which expire on 9/13, and they liberalized the routing rules; in addition to the Silver codeshare flight, you can also stop anywhere among WAS/SFO/LAX/HOU/EWR/DEN/CHI, provided that it's a single transfer.

While it's not $220, it's definitely lower than it was.

I am supposed to fly SFO-Fll on 12 Sept returning on 16 Sept.
It looks like the waiver only applies for flights rebooked prior to 30 Sept, but I have other trips before the end of the month and can't possibly go until October.
I was going to ask them to reschedule me in October, hopefully without a change fee and fare increase. If they won't do that, I wonder if they will give me travel voucher to use a t a later date. Part of my ticket was paid for with a travel voucher, and I want to make sure I get a voucher that includes the whole amount. Any ideas?

Would give them a call and see if they are willing to do it given your situation. Is your other travel also on UA?

I might wait until Friday to try this -- either UA will have cancelled the return by then, or there will be (lots) of seats available on flights headed into the hurricane zone.

Again, not saying this is a good idea, just something to consider...
I had this same idea! My flight to CHS arrives on Friday afternoon so just to be safe I switched it to Sunday evening.

Called 1K Desk about my fight Monday to MSY....it seems they're aren't as flexible as they were during Harvey. I was given an option to complete my reservation by 9/30 or refend......During Harvey didn't they give an extension up to 11/16?
