What have they added of value? What value have they taken away or discontinued?

For example:

As a 1k United no longer offers paid global entry fees

United now offers a free snack box/item or alcoholic drink ^

What are your thoughts and opinions of where this program is headed and potential added value or devaluation?

1K now gets 11x miles per PQD vs 100% + COS bonus previously. Depending on how you purchase tickets, it may be a benefit or loss.

For me it's an added benefit.

No value what so ever has been added, tons of benefits have been taken away. Thus after 19 straight years of being 1K I have not flown UA in years.

I dropped from the 1K ranks in early 2016, and I don't miss it at all. I'm sure UA doesn't miss me, as I was never a high $$ 1K.

1Ks used to be able to change awards freely - now its severly restricted to all segments being available as an award. A major loss, pretty much taking away this benefit for 1Ks

This is more about the change to award bookings overall than a change for 1Ks. Everyone is stuck with the same new rules and the fee for 1Ks did not change (unlike for Platinums).
