Other than being in a paper cup though, it was quite tasty - certainly on par with other ice-cream esque desserts I've had on UA.
Do they normally do sundae service on SFO-MSP?

Not the full sundae service, but midcon mainline (western division I think?? - when doing SFO-IAH-LGA I have always seen it on SFO-IAH and a cookie on IAH-LGA) gets sorbet/ice cream for lunch/dinner similar to non-p.s. transcons. Same glass bowl and sourcing as the sundae (so same issues), just fewer toppings and no cart.

EWR-LAX tonight had sundaes!! The FA was pretty stoked for them to be back as well. They were using mini versions of the white Polaris bowls - a good solution IMO, although I did like the old glass bowl. Will post a picture of them on the dessert cart later.

I flew PEK-SFO yesterday and there was no sundae. Just a Chinese brand vanilla bean ice cream cup.

Picture of the sundaes on the dessert cart (FWIW they have also moved the plating and meal service to more closely align with what is served on international flights).

MUC-EWR 6-16 no sundae. Chocolate truffle ice cream and ran out of macaroons with J @ 21 pax. Good thing the 5 non-revs got them prior to me in row 6.

Anyone know why it appears they are catering sundaes on p.s. but not on proper Polaris Flights?

Just like the Polaris seat rollout. UA takes FOOOOOOREVER to do anything.

LHR -> ORD right now. No sundaes - Strawberry ice cream cups, chocolates, cheese cake squares, and macaroons.

Was really hoping for Sundaes. Surprised the wife with a J upgrade and wanted the full experience - since I was glowing about the sundaes on my IAH-SCL and back flights earlier this year.
