What about those ~60ish deferred 737-700s that were apparently going to be converted to MAX's?

EDIT: I just saw a statement saying UA now has 61 MAX 9s and 100 MAX 10s on order so I guess that answers my question.

  • Coat hooks have slots for each seat prenumbered, included hooks for Row 3 (not present on A319)
  • New design carpeting
  • "Ding Dong" sound slightly different from sUA original Airbus
  • Doors 1L/1R, Panels around galley & cockpit area in a beige hue, not quite the same as sUA original Airbus
  • I didn't get to a lav, so no info on unique attributes there.

My tray table smelled like a new car. LOL.
A few more details from a recent flight on one of the "new" A319s:
  • The backwall in Economy along with the lav interior walls are redone with the negative space globe motif found on the 773.
  • The lav cabinet under the sink is redone with the same bronze colored material as on the 773 lavs.
  • New galley & lav flooring.

Overall very nice updates. It would be great if those updates, along with mood lighting (wishful thinking), would be applied to the rest of the Airbus fleet. @:-)

Seems like there are still some delays (perhaps knock-on) from the early Zodiac issues.

Do you know if the additional 4 77Ws are also coming in right away, or if those are slightly later delivery?

And also because the company explicitly said that's not the goal of those planes. :-:

Three for next summer's growth/peak and one later in 2018.

Possibly Zodiac seats not complete. Just showing on B777 Boeing Test Flight page that all are ready for delivery. Would expect only in in induction at a time in SEA. Usually 4 days or more per induction.

We all knew that, but thanks for reminding us.

But it does highlight the relevant question - what is UA going to do with the current TATL routes being serviced by the steadily aging 757 fleet? Keep them flying until the not yet approved Boeing clean sheet aircraft is finally a reality?
