Any indication/word of any of the new 77Ws that will have star/Dreamliner livery? Think the globe livery is at least up to ship 2137 (according to pics from the production line)?

Not trying to be rude, but why would they have Dreamliner livery if they're not Dreamliners?

E7W:
N205SY entered revenue service 23Mar with Skywest

It appears now that the 4th 77W has been delivered, the entire 789 fleet is now staffed by sCO, so the entire 789 fleet is now integrated across all routes.

Starting 6/8 all BOS-SFO are scheduled as 752+772.
5-7 daily.

right now no ending time (i.e. same schedule until Feb. 24th 2018).
probably will convert this route to p.s.

Spotted my first UA 773 at SFO on Tuesday, and very much boring old PMCO paint job with U N I T E D letters.

An easy way to update livery to something a touch more modern and still consistent @:-)

Imagine how fun it could be if there was a unique livery for each aircraft family:
E135/E145/CRJ200/700
EMB170/175
Airbus
737/757 Series
767/777 Series
787 Series

Just a few tweaks to the swoop seen on the Dreamliner, maybe a color change for that element, while keeping all branding above the wing standardized. Could be fun and different. Add an element to plane spotting and give UA a new marketing trick to talk about flying all their aircraft (try them all!) and some fun for avgeeks and kids alike.

Very sad, an end of an era.

May not get a chance to fly the Queen of the Skies before UA retires them one last time after all

Interestingly, UA took delivery of three 777-300ERs at the same time, all on March 23rd; #4 , 5 and 6 (N59034, N2136U and N2737U). N59034 was ferried to SFO the same day, while the other two are apparently still at PAE as of March 27.

The last 2 are sitting in storage because they don't have Polaris seats yet.

What entails exit prep? Taking out seats, maybe paint, etc?

I guess it's series of M/R/O to meet standards set up by the lessor before it's returned although it's scheduled to fly directly to storage in the U.S.

Fascinating - I wonder if the lessor will give any leniency given the fact that they probably aren't going to lease it to anybody after this.
