No More Weekly Specials?

They send out weekly special mails to no status
Members. As a 1K last 4 yrs and now just. Plat. I never received those mails anymore. I signed up a friend and he got weekly mail from UA

What happen to the last minute weekend specials?
Noticed for awhile now they no longer have those really cheap deals. Seasonal thing or gone forever?

It's been a year now since the weekend specials disappeared. Wish they would bring them back for those of us that do random last minute weekend getaways.

Wish they would return!
Took advantage several times just to explore a city/country we've never been to.
Great weekend getaway.

Certainly doesn't happen for my kids or my wife. The specials used to be available on the website as well, and they've disappeared. Maybe their loads are high enough now that they don't see any benefit in offering the weekend specials.

Ive had pretty good success getting last minute saver award fares.

Last minute Travel deals
I have been looking for the last minute weekend travel deals that united put out on Tues or Wed and have not been able to find them. Is united still putting them out? If so, where would I found them?

You can (almost) use technology to recreate the old weekly specials thanks to SkyScanner. Just select the destination as United States (any). The only drawback is that I've not found a way to limit the search to United only. But if you're based in a fortress hub like me then that isn't as much of a problem. Anyone know a UA filtered way to do the same?

Oh, I didn't know that Google flights has a United States destination option. Thanks PV_Premier. I normally use ITA Matrix which doesn't have that option. Great news.
